Welcome to my 2000th blog post! I guess I should have planned something extravagant for the occasion. I probably should have also got a cake or something. Sorry.
I am truly at a loss for words. I never thought that I would have enough to say to blog 2000 times, yet here we are.
In honor of Blog #2000, here are some fun facts:
Did you know that 2000 is the highest number expressible using only two unmodified characters in Roman Numerals? Yep – MM.
Depending on where you start/end from, it is approximately 2000 miles from Chicago, Illinois to San Francisco, California.
It is sometimes called an Angel Number: In numerology, seeing 2000 is often interpreted as a sign of potential and new beginnings, suggesting you are at the threshold of a significant life phase. (If you believe that sort of thing)
The group Pulp had a hit song called Disco:2000
Movies: Blues Brothers 2000, Dracula 2000, Heavy Metal 2000 and Death Race 2000 (Just to name a few).
2000 pounds equals 1 ton.
Author Andy Hamilton wrote a book entitled: Drop The Dead Donkey 2000: The Novel to End the Century.
2000 Miles is a song by the Pretenders.
In the year 2000: A dozen eggs cost $0.96 – a gallon of gas cost $1.51 – a postage stamp cost $0.33. The NY Yankees won the World Series, the St. Louis Rams won the Superbowl, the New Jersey Devils won the Stanley Cup, and the LA Lakers were the NBA Champs. Hits at the box office included Titanic, Jurassic Park, Star Wars Episode One (The Phantom Menace), and Forrest Gump.
2000 minutes is equal to 1 day, 9 hours and 20 minutes.
For readers who have been with me since Blog #1, thanks so much for being here. For readers who are just joining me, welcome! There is more to come!
