I need to congratulate my wife on accepting a new position at a new job! You may recall that this new job will not only get her on a regular shift, it will allow for more family time during the week and on the weekends. She got her offer letter yesterday and sent her acceptance shortly after.
The place she has been at for over a decade is losing their best. There is no doubt about that. She had difficulty crafting a two week notice that conveyed all of the sadness and feelings that she is feeling. My suggestion was turned down immediately:
My time here has been
More valleys than peaks.
With that being said,
Here’s my two weeks!
She failed to see the humor in that.
At any rate, our family will be preparing for the many changes ahead. I’ll be taking on more responsibilities as far as doctor appointments and such, for example. There will be some changes as far as pick up and drop offs at school, too.
The new routine starts soon, and we’re all excited!
