Sam Moore would have turned 91 today! He was best known as a member of the soul and R&B duo Sam & Dave from 1961 to 1981. He was a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Grammy Hall of Fame, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame.
As the Blues Brothers are driving early in the film, they are listening to Sam and Dave’s Greatest Hits. When Elwood get’s pulled over, Soothe Me is playing from the tape. It is one of those forgotten favorites!
