You may recall that our daughter had tubes put in her ears a year ago. This was due to many ear infections.
A few days ago, she woke up with yellow nastiness cakes around her ear and on her pillow. They were able to get us in to the doctor, who says the eardrum has burst.
She’s on antibiotics and ear drops. The ear is still draining and it almost seems like the ear needs a physical cleaning. She gets three drops in the ear three times a day. The issue seems to be that it pools inside. I end up pulling on the ear lobe a bit to get the drops in.
She’s not in any pain now (surprisingly). I have a feeling if it keeps looking like it does, we have have to take another trip to the doc.
I'm just a guy who likes the classics. I love Old Time Radio Shows. I love Classic TV. I love Classic Movies. I love songs from the "Great American Songbook". I dig songs from the first decade of Rock and Roll. Don't get me wrong, I am not opposed to newer things. My musical taste ranges from Classical to Classic Rock and Country to Rap. I’m so sorry that your little girl is facing these issues. I hope the infection drains quickly and the eardrum is repaired. I had this issue when my thyroid was not functioning properly and I was getting one infection after another. The ENT doctor then repaired my eardrum by burning the edges to make them heal.
poor little girl! Glad she’s not in pain but man, that’s bad. I’m guessing she might not be able to fly with that kind of ear problem… is that something that eventually fixes itself?

It’s so hard when the little ones are sick. At least she is not in pain. Prayers for quick healing.

That’s tough on the little one and mom and dad. My 18 month old grandson is due for getting tubes. Any advice?

It’s a quick procedure. It’s the coming out of anesthesia that’s rough. Ear infections are gone since she got them.

They say it should heal up … she’s heading back to doc tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
