Now that it is officially her birthday, I want to wish my wife, Samantha, the happiest birthday ever! She is working tonight, but the kids and I made sure we sent her to work with one of her birthday presents. We did tell her she couldn’t open it until after midnight.
It’s going to be a bit of a long day for her today. She may get a couple hours of sleep when she gets home, but then we’ll be off for the rest of her birthday presents.
It’s been a long time since we have been to a ball game. Neither of us has been to Comerica Park to see the Tigers play, so I checked the schedule and found that they are playing at home today. I bought the tickets some time ago and we’ll head down there later on. Fingers are crossed that the game goes off without any rain.
I thought about getting her name up on the big screen for her birthday, but it was a ton of money to do that. I mentioned it to her and she was glad I didn’t do it. She said she’d be really embarrassed if I had. Whew!
I am looking forward to spending the day with her. I hope the Tigers can giver us a winning game.
