I recently saw a meme that read “I speak fluently in movie quotes and sarcasm”. There is some truth to this. My brain is full of movie quotes and TV quotes, too! I am amazed at how often I will use a movie quote in conversation. Depending on the situation, a TV or movie line can often enhance a discussion. Pop culture is full of these lines and they often show up on T-shirts and posters.
I have made it no secret that I love the fact that so many old TV shows are available on DVD. I have complete series of old shows that I could watch over and over again in my collection. As I glance through my collection, I am reminded of some of the great catchphrases that have entered pop culture – many of which are still used today (and many by kids who have no idea that these came from TV shows)!
