Last night was my first night back to work after being off with my fractured tailbone. My coworkers have been known to have fun at my expense. For example, when I was out with Covid, I returned to a billboard loaded with pictures of sick people with my face plastered over theirs. I had no idea what I might walk into last night.
Surprisingly, all was quiet. As others arrived they asked how I was, etc… The one coworker who is usually the mastermind behind the jokes walked in and simply asked, “How’s your butt!?” I told her that it was resting comfortably on the foam donut pillow on my chair. That seemed to be the end of it.
I was supposed to have one patient, but they didn’t show. So I took over two other patients. When I returned to the tech room after I had finished my second hook up, I walked to my computer and saw this:

Naturally, I chuckled and said, ” … and THERE it is!” I knew that my crew couldn’t pass up an opportunity to poke fun at me. I laughed and picked it up to move it and was told that there was more to it. I turned it over to find that many of the technicians and even some of the secretaries had shared special messages to me. Some were simple.

Some referenced my butt directly.

Some were warnings and direct commands.

Some really made me laugh out loud.

It made my night, honestly. My wife was quite impressed with this as well. “I knew I could count on them to give you a proper ‘Welcome back.'”
so funny and kind of them
