Life’s Little Moments

It was a busy week at our house and quite frankly, I’m dog tired. (You’ll get that by the end of the blog).

My daughter’s teeth are coming it a bit crowded, so she went to the orthodontist and had an expander put in this week. The idea is that the palate is still young enough that the expander should be able to make room for the teeth and she won’t need braces later on. Andrew’s teeth are the same way, so I am sure he’ll have one soon too.

Not too long ago, my wife asked if anyone had the “Boxcar Children” book series. They are reading it in Ella’s class and she loved it. My old boss said her daughter had almost the entire collection. So we met over coffee and she gave me the books for Ella.

It was such a nice catch up and great to see her. Despite me wanting to give her money for the books, she insisted on donating them to “a fellow book lover.”

Mabel, our pup, seems to feel that every time the car door opens that she is going for a ride. I was running up to get gas the other day and I swear, I would not get her out of the car. Notice we have the same look…

Monday, she decided that she had to come to school drop off. Ella didn’t seem to mind.

Ella finally lost her other front tooth, as you can see in the above photo.

One more dog story. Andrew went in to follow up with the hematologist. While he was there, he ran into the company therapy dog, Millie. He got to hang out with her for a bit and he got her baseball card and a stuffed “Millie.” The doc, knowing that he had a sister at home, made sure that she got a stuffed Millie, too.

So the week had gone to the dogs! We’ll see what the next seven days have in store.
