(Sort of a) Friday Photo Flashback

Earlier in the week, I recapped our Memorial Day Weekend. I found a couple pictures that I wanted to share, but didn’t necessarily feel that any one of them would be worthy of an entire blog. So technically, we are “flashing back” but only a little bit.

Our dog, Mabel, is spoiled. She assumes that anytime someone has the car keys that she is going for a ride. The problem with this is that she is so big now that she can’t really lay down or get comfortable in the seat. She’s also so big now that we have to buckle the seat she is in so the “put on your seatbelt” dinging stops.

What a Moose!

We have a lilac bush in the front yard. Every spring it blooms and you can smell them on the breeze. I walked over to take a picture of them and got a bonus. I didn’t see it at first, but I was lucky enough to catch this enjoying the lilacs, too.

The beauty of nature

We recently bought a white board so the kids could draw on it or practice writing. My daughter loves drawing. I am not sure what led to this drawing, but it shows how sweet she is:

On the left is my wife. She is on the right. It looks like she might have been playing school, as the bottom looks like she was taking a poll or something. It says, “My mom is?” and the choices are “Kind, Helpful, Loved, and Grateful.”

Naturally, I had to try to be funny. So I drew myself on the board and then accused her of doing it.

She looked at me and said, “Dad! I didn’t draw that. You do fart, but I didn’t draw that!” Mission accomplished.

Speaking of my daughter, she and my son didn’t play T-Ball Monday because of the holiday. On Wednesday, they played and they were so excited to tell me that they both hit the ball without it being on the tee. They hit pitches that the coach threw. My wife sent me videos of both. I wish I could have been there to see it.

They are both really doing well. I can’t help but wonder if they will want to keep playing. I hope they do.
