You know that I am always up for a good time travel story, and that was what I was hoping for with Maybe Next Time by Cesca Major. A lot of times, when I see that a book was read by a "book club," I will make sure to read what is about to see … Continue reading Book Review – Maybe Next Time

I'm just a guy who likes the classics. I love Old Time Radio Shows. I love Classic TV. I love Classic Movies. I love songs from the "Great American Songbook". I dig songs from the first decade of Rock and Roll. Don't get me wrong, I am not opposed to newer things. My musical taste ranges from Classical to Classic Rock and Country to Rap. I love a good book and am always looking for something to read. I tend to lean toward historical fiction, biographies, mysteries, and more.
I have always believed that our past (and the things we've experienced in it) make us who we are today. That being said, after reading through some old My Space blogs (yeah, that's about how long it's been since I blogged regularly), I decided that I should once again write. Welcome to my blog. I hope you find it interesting, thought provoking, and entertaining in some way.

Friday Photo Flashback
There are times when I really miss having a real picture to hold on to. Back when MySpace and Facebook first got off the ground, we all seemed to post our pictures on those sites not knowing that over time, they would lose quality and become more pixilated. That's the case with my photo today. … Continue reading Friday Photo Flashback
Life’s Little Moments
It seems odd to do a week in review "highlights" post on Thursday, but it really is the day that I get an extra minute or two to look back, so here goes. Kicking Kid While the days leading up to it were extremely unorganized, Saturday morning Andrew got to play soccer. It was quite … Continue reading Life’s Little Moments
The Music of My Life – 1987
Welcome back to The Music of My Life, where I feature ten songs from each year of my life. In most cases, the ten songs I choose will be ones I like personally (unless I explain otherwise). The songs will be selected from Billboard’s Year-end Hot 100 Chart, Acclaimed Music, and will all be released … Continue reading The Music of My Life – 1987
Tune Tuesday – Materia Primoris
It was on this day in 1993 that we were told "The truth is out there," as the X-Files debuted on Fox Television. It starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. They are FBI agents who investigate the eponymous "X-Files": marginalized, unsolved cases involving paranormal phenomena. The theme song, entitled … Continue reading Tune Tuesday – Materia Primoris
Movie Music Monday – Spiderman 2
Superheroes were big when I was growing up. I watched the Batman 1966 TV show, on Saturday morning my brother and I would watch the Superfriends cartoon, and on the Electric Company, there used to be a segment with a live action Spiderman. Hollywood is forever recycling ideas and it is no surprise that Superhero … Continue reading Movie Music Monday – Spiderman 2
A Tedious Project
Last month I started a project that was long over due. It took me awhile because I wasn't sure I could do it. Thanks to some really helpful friends, I have the pieces in place to get it done. A couple years ago, the iPod Classic that I bought in the early 2000's stopped playing … Continue reading A Tedious Project
Book Review: The Edge of Sleep
Normally, I post what I would call a Book Recommendation, but I didn't feel that this was one I would actually recommend. I will let you decide for yourself. As many of you know, I work as a Sleep Technologist. When I saw the title of this book, I wondered if it might be something … Continue reading Book Review: The Edge of Sleep
Friday Photo Flashback
Yesterday, I blogged about my daughter's first day of Preschool. She is having so much fun there. She is making friends and sharing stories about her day, which has been awesome to listen to. One thing I didn't do was get a picture of her and I together. She was probably "pictured out" by the … Continue reading Friday Photo Flashback
The Reunion
48 years ago today, Frank Sinatra did something spectacular. He saw to it that two greats were reunited after not seeing each other for 20 years - Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin. He did it on the 1976 Labor Day Telethon. It is a magical thing to watch. Martin and Lewis were huge when they … Continue reading The Reunion
