I'm just a guy who likes the classics. I love Old Time Radio Shows. I love Classic TV. I love Classic Movies. I love songs from the "Great American Songbook". I dig songs from the first decade of Rock and Roll. Don't get me wrong, I am not opposed to newer things. My musical taste ranges from Classical to Classic Rock and Country to Rap. I love a good book and am always looking for something to read. I tend to lean toward historical fiction, biographies, mysteries, and more.
I have always believed that our past (and the things we've experienced in it) make us who we are today. That being said, after reading through some old My Space blogs (yeah, that's about how long it's been since I blogged regularly), I decided that I should once again write. Welcome to my blog. I hope you find it interesting, thought provoking, and entertaining in some way.

Kids love them and I think they’re pretty too, especially now that I know they are so good for the bees )
We have had our share of dandelions & clover. I routinely eat dandelion greens (the big ones, not the little yard ones). Has Ella made a necklace or headband out of clover, yet?
Dandelion flowers are edible, too. You just have to be careful as many people use pesticides or roundup in their lawns.
When I was a kid, just like all kids everywhere, I picked dandelion flowers for my mother. She treated them like the most precious orchids, placing them in a little glass jar in the center of our dining room table. I felt like I had given her the rarest gift on earth.
I think I may have just written my next story!
I like them, actually seems a shame to mow them down…but they do pop back quickly! Great example of ‘one man’s trash is another one’s treasure’. I occasionally buy a bag of dandelion greens to mix in with salads…I’d pick them off the lawn but like Vic suggests, hard to know what’s been sprayed on them, even at home.

I have never eaten them, unless they were in a salad or something.
Ella has yet to have clover “jewelry”. I’m sure it won’t be long. They made her a flower headband for the daddy daughter dance we went to, though.

Dandelions are beautiful in all of their stages (also nutritious and medicinal). The perfect bouquet! Next will be the daisy chain necklace…

We seems to be all into flowers right now. We went to the store and they had tulip bouquets. She was in awe of them.

I love Ella’s serious face as she’s putting her bouquet together! That’s concentration right there! 🥰
