I left a sleep conference yesterday evening and was hungry. I decided to just drive thru to grab a bite to eat before picking up the kids.
The line was slower than normal. Once I paid, I went to the next window. The car in front of me pulled off to a parking spot. In front of him was a car that had pulled past the window and was waiting. I got to the window and they asked me to pull off to the side. The car behind me – same thing!
How in the world do they get four cars behind? And why do we have to pull up or over? It makes me so angry.
I paid for my order at 7:21pm. I waited in the parking spot for almost 14 minutes before they brought me my food – which was one hamburger. This is truly unacceptable.
Fast food my foot!
I’ve said this about McDonald’s frequently for years…the appeal is equal measures the food and the ‘fast’. But they’re seldom fast anymore, especially if you go inside rather than drive through. Whataburger, a local specialty is far worse for that…good burgers, but can take half an hour. and my one trip to a local, new Popeyes my sweetie wanted to try was worse yet for service. Then again, they probably find it difficult to keep even a skeleton staff let alone enough people who are really motivated to excel there

Yeah, if I see 2 cars in the drivethrough, I don’t even bother to stop in any more. Otherwise I’m waiting too long. They are running on fumes in terms of people though, so it is no surprise. I know our local burger king only staffs 2 people per shift. One guy is taking the orders and cooking and doing the money stuff while the second guy is cooking only. Talk about stressful!

Unbelievable

It’s faster to park and go inside. I hate talking to a microphone voice, like that weird Jack In The Box thing years ago.

I understand the frustration, but this is the very definition of a first-world problem.

I am not a fan of fast food places anymore. I agree, it’s not fast.
