As a blogger, I am always excited to get a notification of a “New Follower.” Recently, however, I have noticed that some of my older posts are being “liked” by people, but when I look in my stats, that post was never even visited – or read. How can this be? In some cases, some new followers don’t even have a blog to follow or read.
When I first started blogging, I was getting followed by about 5-10 mortgage companies (and may have even blogged about this). Now it seems that there is no rhyme or reason for the follows (outside of two followers who were promoting a diet of some kind). DO any of my blogger friends have this kind of thing happening to you?

It could be people marking “like” in the reader without opening it. That is my only guess…but saying that…I don’t remember it happening to me.

like your reader above, i’m thinking they are just liking things they scroll across in their reader without even looking at them

There’s also plenty of folks who use the wordpress reader like a social media app and don’t even have a blog.
