I'm just a guy who likes the classics. I love Old Time Radio Shows. I love Classic TV. I love Classic Movies. I love songs from the "Great American Songbook". I dig songs from the first decade of Rock and Roll. Don't get me wrong, I am not opposed to newer things. My musical taste ranges from Classical to Classic Rock and Country to Rap. I love a good book and am always looking for something to read. I tend to lean toward historical fiction, biographies, mysteries, and more.
I have always believed that our past (and the things we've experienced in it) make us who we are today. That being said, after reading through some old My Space blogs (yeah, that's about how long it's been since I blogged regularly), I decided that I should once again write. Welcome to my blog. I hope you find it interesting, thought provoking, and entertaining in some way.

I admit the pictures are phenomenal, but your headline says it all “Not so intelligent.”
I have a dear friend who is a professional photographer and perhaps she could have recreated these photos, using you as her model, as this is her style. AI is the new root of all evil. Creative people making a career for themselves is extremely competitive and AI could wipe out all our jobs.

I have so much respect for good photographers. I agree with you, though, AI is dangerous!

I read about the AI DJs about a month ago when a DJ friend from Canada posted a link to a story about it. As usual, it’s probably good for the corporate bottom line, but how is it good for humanity?
With the photos, it’s remarkable but scary. A nature magazine I read recently had an article on how they are trying to ‘vet’ photos submitted to ensure they are real and not computer generated, and they had some examples of artificial ones which were, by and large, highly believable looking. All kinds of potential for massive harm as even some of the techies who run the companies are suggesting, but no one seems all that concerned.

I heard about AI early this year when someone told me that AI is better than Wikipedia for information. I disagreed then and I disagree now. The more I learn about AI, the more I am fearful for our future. In a perfect world it would get debunked and assigned the tag, “fraud.” One can only hope.

I couldn’t agree more! It seems to me that they could make anyone look like they are doing something they are not, or saying whatever they want them to say. It is a recipe for disaster

First of all, AI DJ’s will destroy the business, no matter how “real” they seem. Second, with AI technology and “voice fake” or whatever they call it, people can create whatever they want. That means we’ll be stuck questioning everything! It’s insanity!
